To those who know me well (which is all 3 of my blog readers), you know that I am prone to some serious cravings. Once I start thinking about having something in particular, it is nearly impossible for me to stop thinking about it until the urge is satisfied. There are a few specific items that seem to be craved quite often. They are, in no particular order:
1. chicken wings – any time of day. favorite is hooters.
2. iced tea – best with splenda. favorite is panera.
3. pickles – no i am not pregnant. specifically, i like them in sandwiches.
Recently, there’s a new craving in town. At least five times a day I think about hopping in my car and getting Yagoot. It is scary. For you poor unfamiliar folks, let me describe. It is real yogurt, not the TCBY ice-cream imposter. It is frozen and served just like soft serve, but tastes unlike anything else. It has all the good live cultures of regular yogurt, and is 99% fat free, and low-calorie.
Tart, tangy, and tasty, the original is the love. There is also a coffee flavor, but I can’t possibly try anything other than my perfect combo. There is also a nice range of toppings – all sorts of fresh fruit, fun cereals, nuts, and more. I have found the perfect combination to be original with strawberries, and eeeevery once in a while I throw some blueberries in there on the side.
Even though it’s not that bad for you, I still have to maintain some control, so I’m limiting myself to definitely no more than one serving in a day, and I try to not go more than 3 times in a week. Adding to my love of the ‘goot is the fact that my little sister Sarah works there! She is a busy, social 17-year old with no time for her lame-o big sis, so it’s also an excuse to visit/harass her. Still working on getting that family discount though…
For those who don’t live here – next time you’re in town, we will get the ‘goot. My treat!
