I am guest blogging while Emily is in MEXICO!

Some of you may know me from my now-defunct blog Running Ritz.

I figured I was house sitting and dog sitting for Em, so I might as well blog sit

From the limited contact I have had from the Mexican duo, things are going well in the sunny south. I hear tales of snorkeling, kayaking, and day drinking. Needless to say each of these updates sends a stab of jelly b through my pale Ohio heart.

I am holding down the fort here in Cinc. Lots of time with the dogs. We are really bonding. I am going to miss the fellas when the week is over. So far only one attempt has been made on my sanity. Day #1 I left the dogs alone for 10 minutes to shower and discovered that Indy had plotted an assassination on my brand new $30 face wash. All I can say is, you get what you pay for! Sure $30 for face wash is a ridiculous price, but that package was INDESTRUCTIBLE!

Seriously though, the boys have been absolute gems!

I have also taken advantage of living in a “grown-up person” house (ie. not my apartment) to do grown-up things like: do laundry without having to search the couch cushions for quarters, load AND unload the dishwasher, and watch as much election coverage as I can. Gone are the days of wanting to have a house party while the parents are away, I just want to do some free laundry and relax next to a fireplace.

Em will be back next week with stories of her great vacation. But for now I am enjoying my little vacation (1 mile from home).
