Talk of an impending snow storm made it very hard for me to sleep last night. I woke up at 2am and stared out the office window. Snow – lots of it. Crawled back into bed and waited. Sure enough, at 4:30am I got the highly anticipated text message telling me school was closed. Best job perk ever – SNOW DAY!! Ironically, the snow day has tragically fallen during “no tv week”, which i plan to blog about tomorrow.

Casey has a much better work ethic than I do (of course going to work is an option), so he dug his car out and went to work this morning. I have lounged in my pjs all day long, watched lots of Food Network, and made fantastic oatmeal. And that’s about it. The dogs love the snow, and love having me home to snuggle with them. Here is a small peek into our very busy day…

According to Cincinnati.com, “the worst is yet to come” – looking forward to tonight’s ice storm and hopefully snow day number two tomorrow!
