    A Look Back.

All Aboard.

Low points of planning a wedding:

  • My total inability to make concrete decisions
  • Stressing over budget and logistics
  • Not wanting to be consumed by tedious details
  • Trying to please too many different people
  • Waiting for what feels like foreeeeever…

High points of planning a wedding:

  • Finding fabulously perfect wedding shoes
  • Having fabulously perfect bridesmaids who also buy the shoes
  • Scheduling my first dress fitting
  • Figuring out jewelry
  • BOOKING OUR HONEYMOON!

That’s right, folks! The honeymoon is officially booked! We’ve been weighing options and ideas for months, and finally settled on one and clicked submit yesterday.

We will be spending 8 days and 7 luxurious nights aboard the Caribbean Princess, as we set sail out of San Juan, Puerto Rico on our Classic Southern Caribbean cruise! I have been on exactly one cruise before, also on Princess cruise lines. Casey’s never done a cruise, so I’m crossing his fingers that he likes it as much as I did! Here are all of the exciting places we will be visiting:

  • San Juan, Puerto Rico
  • Barbados
  • St. Lucia, USVI
  • Antigua & Barbuda
  • Tortola, BVI
  • St. Thomas, USVI

If you’ve been to any of these places and have recommendations on things to do, places to eat, fun activities and adventures, please share! I’ve been to St. Thomas and San Juan and cannot wait to get back to both of them. A million thank you’s to Casey’s parents, Tina and Eddie, for giving us this best-ever-wedding-present honeymoon!

My previous cruise was a gift to myself for my 24th birthday. Lindsey and I are both slightly biased (read: obsessed) with the number 24 – both born on the 24th day of the month (me February, her April). So the year that we turned 24, we figured what better way to celebrate our golden birthdays, than in the Caribbean, right? We set sail on March 24th (meet in the middle!) and celebrated all over South America and the Caribbean sea. Definitely a vacation I will hold near and dear the rest of my life.

Tuesday brought eight more inches to Cincinnati, and Wednesday was another snow day – that makes five just in January. Visions of exploring the Caribbean with my new husband (eee!) make the cold days seem a bit warmer. Is it May 10th yet?

Me and Linds jumping into a waterfall in Grenada – we were really scared!
