We are hosting the BIG joint family Christmas in Charlotte this year, so I’ve spent my weekend planning grocery lists, cleaning, and finishing up small projects before our guests arrive. Imagine my excitement when I came home on Friday to hear Casey say that he has been thinking about all that we need to get done before our guests come! He’s been super busy with work, so I was sooo excited to hear that he was going to help, and I wouldn’t have to do it on my own as planned.
The next thing I know he is outlining an elaborate plan to rearrange several rooms filled with furniture, and literally turn our house floor plan upside down. My initial reaction was NO WAY, followed by a maybe (and begging to call Lindsey for a second opinion). But once I thought about it more, I realized he was right (I hate that!). So began the totally ridiculous house reorganization, just days before our home is filled with guests. No time like the present, right?
Remember when our bedroom was on the ground floor, and looked like this…?
And our office was in the second floor loft, and looked like this…?
Well here is what our house looks like right now…
The dogs are NOT happy about the changes, but I think they will get used to it. I’m off to work right now, and then running errands and meeting up with Kath for frozen yogurt (YUM!) – the “after” photos to come when I return.
It all started with the treadmill…
