Chobani Giveaway Winner!

For every class we have at school, we have a project to go with it as part of our final grade.  For my dining room class, we were given the choice to do a written project (booooo) or to help staff a Chef’s event in the evening, and get a guaranteed 100 percent.  Pretty much a no brainer for someone who hates papers and likes working!

My two friends and I signed up to help with an event last night that was a food and wine pairing dinner – A Tour of Tuscany – yum!  It was a demonstration cooking class for 20 people – different Chefs do these every week with different themes.   Johnson & Wales has this really cool auditorium with an amazing kitchen up front – just like you would see on a cooking show!

We spent four hours cleaning and polishing every single glass, piece of flatware, and plate that would be used for the evening.  Then we set all the tables, and made sure each place setting had exactly what it needed.

This dinner had five food courses and five different wine pairings – check out all of the details of just ONE place setting!

There were beautiful centerpieces too – such a pretty evening.

I got home around 6:30 and quickly changed and jumped on the treadmill for a short run (while watching Wheel of Fortune!).  Just as I finished up running and blogging, Casey announced that dinner was ready!  He has been making dinner the past few nights since I have been overloaded with school and work.  He made delicious Asian vegetables (frozen!), yummy spiced rice, and tofu with lemon juice and soy sauce…

Totally delicious!  We finished up dinner and snuggled up with the dogs to watch Survivor – love it.  Huey decided to use my leg as a headrest because he was feeling sleepy.  He is a big Survivor fan too.

And now what you’ve been waiting for – the CHOBANI giveaway winner!!  By the way, you guys had some awesome ideas for using Greek yogurts – I can’t wait to try some of these – thank you!  I wish everyone could win, but since I had to pick just one, I u
sed a random number generator.

The lucky winner is…Kate, who said…Chobani is my absolute favorite yogurt but I have to drive 40 miles to the nearest Publix to buy it (which I do)! I have only ever had the strawberry but I would love to try the peach and strawberry banana.

Kate, send me an email with your mailing info so you can get your Chobani case asap!  You can save yourself a trip to Publix this week :)

I have several more fun giveaways lined up for you guys, and possibly even some more Greek yogurt – hurrah!

And last but certainly not least,

to the best little sister in the world.  I love you Sarah!
