Fourteen Miles with My Valentine.

Up early this morning to hopefully finish up my project before I head out for our long run.  All that should be left is a quick trip to Kinkos for the final printing!

Fueling for fourteen involves a few of my favorite things.  Trader Joe’s reduced sugar apricot preserves…

Slathered on the tiny end piece of a loaf with some of the Naturally Nutty Butter Toffee Peanut Butter I got from Kath

A balanced breakfast.  At least balanced for a pre-run breakfast!

I am a little nervous about today’s run.  The sniffles and sneezes of last week have manifested into a bad hacking cough and hurting chest.  The basic rule for running when you’re sick, is to run if the sickness is above the neck, and rest if it is below the neck.  Rules aside, I’m running a half-marathon next weekend in Florida, so there is no way I’m skipping this weekend’s run.  My plan is to take it slow and hope that I can get in all the miles.

I am running the first half with Kath and Michelle, and then finishing out the miles with Casey!
