Superflow Saturday & Yoga Package Giveaway!

This morning started with one of Tanner’s early SUPERFLOW yoga classes!  I met Kath at the studio for 90 minutes of sweating and streeeetching.  It was by far the hardest class I have EVER done!

Tanner told us that once the weather got hotter outside, the studio would be even hotter inside, and was it ever – wow.  I was literally drenched and shaking at the end.  I drank almost two entire water bottles in the 90 minute class, and I have been chugging more ever since I got home.

The class started out packed – mat to mat across the entire room.  By the end over half of the people had left – literally too hot to handle.  While I was shaking and crumbling in a warrior three pose, I thought about how long distance running has given me so much more than strength and fitness – it has taught me how to challenge myself mentally.  I’ve successfully learned to push myself farther than I think I can go, and just when I want to give up, I force myself to keep going.  Its such a GREAT feeling when it’s all over!

Plus it is so fun to have a yoga buddy that is willing to get up at the crack of dawn on Saturdays with me.  :)  You all know that I am a hot yoga fanatic, so I was really excited to get the chance to give away my favorite YOGA MAT to you guys!

mat colors

My mat is SOLAR, and I find the color very soothing and warm.  Winner will be chosen Tuesday morning!  Thank you Aurorae for such a fun reader giveaway!

Speaking of solar orange, I made an impulse purchase at Crate and Barrel yesterday.  I literally could not resist this mug.  Or the spoon.  And maybe one more mug.  But seriously, could anything be more perfect for oatmeal?  It says BREAKFAST all the way around it – love!  Oatmeal on the inside, dogs on the outside (look closely!)…

Eaten with a teeny tiny spoon (inspired by Kath!) so that I can enjoy my breakfast slowly in small bites.

Steel cut oats, half a banana, jubilee trail mix, and a little bit of naturally nutty toffee almond butter.  In keeping with my orange theme, I added a dollop of apricot preserves for some sweetness.

This was the perfect was to re-energize after a draining yoga class!

A little bit of everything, in every tiny bite.  Yum!

The SUN is shining over Charlotte today!  I’m off to enjoy a Sat

Those oats sound incredible! I like to eat my oats with a small spoon, too :)
