What a fun night out with my favorite girls! We made it to Columbus and hung out at Lindsey’s mom’s house, getting ready and singing along to the radio. Check out these amazing BOOTS I found in Lindsey’s sister’s closet! I think they were made to go with this dress! :)
Our whole group ready to go – Katie, Lindsey, Mary Ann, me, and Jaclyn. I love these girls! We have so much fun getting all dressed up and ready for our country concerts. This was the first one I’ve been to since last summer – crazy!
We got to the concert just as Lady Antebellum took the stage – they sounded so good live! For some reason the other people in our row decided they had to go to the bathroom every five seconds, which was really annoying. It didn’t really matter though because the show was so good, and we were singing so loud.
Check out how BIG Nationwide Arena is – sooooo many people! Even with our seats kind of high up, we could see perfectly and the acoustics were awesome.

We got a group picture just before Tim McGraw took the stage…
No pictures of the concert itself because I was having waaaaaaaaay too much fun to stop and grab my camera. He sang all my favorite songs, and closed the encore with my all-time favorite, “Cowboy in Me.”
The concert was over around 11, and we headed out into the Columbus Arena District to meet up with some old college friends. We ended up somewhere called the Park Street Patio, which was basically a gigantic frat party. It’s always so interesting to hang out in bars sober now. It’s fun to do now and then with my friends, but I can’t believe people still do that every weekend – I am such an old lady! I got my standard drink – club soda with lime – and enjoyed my time with my friends, laughing and people watching. Not before long, my good friend Luke (from college) showed up!
Our crew found a picnic table to hang out – I was so happy to be sitting down at that point! I had been up since 3:45am, and was starting to feel it.
When the clock hit midnight we all yelled out a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to this girl!
Lindsey is celebrating the big 2-9 today, and I’ve celebrated every birthday with her since age 20. Linds and I had pretty much been inseparable for the past 10 years, and this is definitely the birthday I am most excited to spend with her. Living so far apart this year has been really hard, since we’ve never lived more than a few streets away. Being 400 miles away make me miss her like crazy, but also makes me appreciate what a truly amazing friend I have.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINDSEY!
I am missing Casey who is back home with the boys in NC, but loving having a weekend with my girls. Now we are off for a d
ay of shopping at Easton, country “concert” number 2 – the Kenny Chesney: Summer in 3D movie, and a fabulous birthday dinner of yummy Thai food. Is it weird to wear my cowboy boots to a movie? :)
