I tried to explain to one of my friends today how happy I am for you, and she just didn’t get it. “So you only know this woman through her food blog? And your this excited about her having a baby?”
Here’s the thing. Even though I’m not pregnant (and really have no desire to be pregnant anytime in the near future), I feel like I learned more about pregnancy through your weekly updates than I ever knew before. And even though there’s a good chance I’ll never meet you in “real life,” I feel like I know you because you invited me (and everyone else reading this blog) to take this deeply personal and long journey with you. I’m honored that I had the chance to see pregnancy through what I think is as close to a first-person perspective as you can get without actually experiencing it yourself.
I am absolutely THRILLED for you and Casey. I completely agree with what someone said earlier–you are the new definition of an endurance athlete! You are an incredible woman and you are going to be an amazing mom to Cullen. Congratulations one thousand and a half times over, Emily. You’re inspirational :)
