Hellooooo, Friday! I am running around today cleaning and organizing – preparing for the arrival of my in-laws tomorrow. They will be here visiting with Cullen for a week! We don’t pretend that they are visiting us anymore. :)
This is their first time visiting our new house, and of course we’d like it to look nice. So we’ve finally been tackling all those projects we have avoided for the past four months – hanging things on walls, cleaning up storage areas, etc. I’ve been trying to knock little things off lists for a few weeks now.
Casey came downstairs this morning and announced that he wants to go buy a new guest bed TODAY, because the crap futon we have in our guestroom is falling apart. This is classic Casey – 24 hours before his parents arrive, and instead of doing all the laundry and cleaning I had planned, he wants to go furniture shopping. I have a feeling it will be a late night!
I’ll be running around most of the day, but I wanted to share something fun with you since it’s Friday and it’s a holiday weekend. This is Cullen’s new favorite game – peekaboo in the curtains. Every time he does it, a little piece of my heart explodes. Cannot even handle the cuteness.
Headed into the curtains…
Looking for a way out…
PEEK –
A —
BOO!
Followed by fits of laughter, and then repeating it no less than ten times.
I caught him with the video camera toward the end of the game yesterday. He usually laughs a lot harder at the beginning, but he still gives a good giggle in this one.
Have a wonderful weekend!

That smile could make anyone’s heart melt! If he’s anything like my youngest nephew, he will have 9 girlfriends by the age of 4. hah

It is so amazing to see how much he has grown. It has been so much fun to watch him grow from in-utero to present.
Thanks so much Emily for sharing him. This video brightened my day indeed.

So hilarious! I laughed so hard. I love the way, even though he fell, he still finds the end result a hilarious success!

We just bought a new mattress for the guest room just in time for my sister’s visit in July. From of all places- Mattress depot. The Lady Americana brand is actually manufactured locally… It’s comfy for spring mattress (hubby and I have foam). Futons and air mattresses have their limits. :)
Peek A Boo! SO CUTE!!!OMG he’s so mobile!

My son is 6 weeks old tomorrow and I LOVE watching Cullen videos. Hard to believe he will be playing peek-a-boo and running around sooner than I realize. <3

We just went through that a few weeks ago when my parents came for a visit. My hubs decided he needed to finish the new patio 24 hours before they arrived. Never mind that the project started 2 months ago.
Curtains mystify babies! My kids, even at 2 yrs old, still like to play in the curtains play peek a boo. So cute!

Too cute Emily! Hope you’re having a wonderful visit with the in-laws…I’m sure Cullen is loving all the grandparent attention (more people to play peek-a-boo with!!)

This is so adorable! Too cute!!

Enjoy your visit with the in-laws. At least they will have a comfy bed to sleep on! I always wondered about folks that end up having to tie the mattress to the roof (versus doing the free delivery). Now I know! It’s all about the 24 hour window and no time to wait! :)

OH MY GOODNESS! That video just produced some loud barking and scurrying from sunroom to front window. My little dachshund/fox terrier Cassie is not sure how to react to your voice Emily and that only entices our Bucky (black lab/boxer) to join in. Now that things have calmed down, I have to say you have the cutest little peek-a-boo partner! Thank you for sharing that moment with us!
