- The Flying Pig was my first marathon, and was what actually launched my blogging career! I was chosen to write (along with my best friend) for a local Cincinnati newspaper, and share our running experiences as we trained for our very first full marathon. Such a small world … so interesting to think we’ve been at several marathons together! My husband is the marathon runner (I just do shorter distances) so I cheered him on in Chicago 08 (side note: we had gotten married 8 days before) and Cincinnati 10. Both races were pretty miserable! Way to go with all these races! Maybe we’ll cross paths again.

Now that is one fit-looking couple! Way to go with all your races. I love reading about your transition into a healthy and fit lifestyle. I’m running my first marathon (Seattle Marathon) because I was so inspired by your committment to health!
